Docs/The InfraSure platform/Workflow: Evaluate

Workflow: Evaluate

Workflow: Evaluate. Screen and compare — portfolio-wide InfraRisk scores, hazard heatmaps, adjusted revenue benchmarks, prioritized red flags.

Evaluate is the workflow a customer enters when they are looking at a set of assets and trying to decide which ones deserve deeper attention. The top-of-funnel diligence layer — fast, comparative, multi-asset, structured to surface the signal that justifies further work.

What you bring in

The customer enters Evaluate with one of three inputs:

  • A portfolio you already own — uploaded via spreadsheet, or configured per-asset in the platform.
  • A pipeline of prospective acquisitions — same upload path.
  • A curated set pulled from the platform's asset registry — every utility-scale generation asset in the U.S. is in the registry (solar, wind, gas, storage), with technology specs, capacity, location, owner, interconnection, and operating status pre-enriched from EIA, USPVDB, USWTDB, and other foundational data sources.

There is no manual data entry burden to get from upload to analysis. Once an asset is on the platform, the weather and climate simulation engine, hazard models, and financial performance models run automatically.

The screening table

Every asset in the portfolio with:

  • An InfraRisk score (the composite risk roll-up).
  • A hazard loss ratio across the 10 active hazard types (coastal flood, cold wave, hail, heat wave, hurricane, ice storm, riverine flood, strong wind, tornado, wildfire, winter weather).
  • An annual adjusted revenue per kW estimate.
  • A red flag count with severity tiering.
  • Benchmarked against a relevant reference set (continental US, ISO region, technology class, or a custom benchmark you define).

Sort and filter to find the assets that stand out — high InfraRisk relative to peers, low revenue relative to benchmark, multiple red flags clustered on a single asset. This is where you decide what to look at next.

The comparison view

Select multiple assets and place them side-by-side across a consistent set of dimensions. The InfraRisk summary shows each asset's score, its revenue per kW, and its delta against both continental and regional benchmarks. The hazard loss-ratio heatmap shows each asset's exposure across the 10 active hazard types — see at a glance which assets are concentrated in which hazard profile and which are diversified across them.

The map view

Overlays asset locations on a hazard surface so you can see geographic concentration and corridor exposure. Asset markers carry technology type and capacity; the surface beneath shifts by hazard or composite risk profile.

What you get out

The output of Evaluate is not a recommendation. It is a prioritization — an evidence-grounded view of which assets in the set deserve the time and capital to underwrite properly.

Evaluate — what the customer gets
  • · Portfolio-wide InfraRisk scores
  • · Hazard loss-ratio heatmap by asset
  • · Adjusted revenue per kW vs. benchmark
  • · Red-flag detection and prioritization
  • · Side-by-side asset comparison
  • · Geospatial overlay of hazard and asset
  • · Structured screening report (PDF / CSV export)

For a customer screening fifty prospective acquisitions, Evaluate compresses what would otherwise be a multi-week diligence triage into hours. For a customer managing an existing portfolio, it surfaces the assets whose risk profile has drifted relative to peers and benchmarks — the early-warning layer above the asset-level deep dive.

Evaluate is where the customer's eye is trained to look for what matters. The next workflow — Manage — is where you look at it in depth.
