Common journeys

Three concrete entry points: try the data, evaluate a specific asset, or request a demo.

Three concrete entry points into InfraSure, by what you're trying to do. Each is a 3-step path with deep links. If you're reading the docs to figure out where to start, pick the journey that matches your goal and follow the links.

Journey 1 — Try the open data first

The cheapest first step. See what the open data foundation actually knows about U.S. utility-scale assets before deciding whether to engage further. No login, no signup.

  1. Open the explore view. Visit /explore and filter by your state, fuel type, or capacity range. The map and table update together. Sort by any column.
  2. Click into a specific asset. Pick any plant from the table. The detail page shows ownership, engineering, generation history, financial signal, grid context, pricing nodes, classified news, and grid-region attribution — all cross-referenced from the upstream sources.
  3. Notice the forward-looking sections. On the plant page you'll see Risk Analytics, Generation Forecast, and Financial Forecast as blurred teasers — that's the analytical layer above the open data, available in the InfraSure platform.

Journey 2 — Evaluate a specific asset

For an asset you already know — a prospect, a portfolio holding, an asset you cover. Skip browsing; go straight to its detail page.

  1. Find the asset. By name: search at /. By EIA ID: go directly to /plant/{eia_plant_id} (e.g. /plant/6008 for Palo Verde Nuclear). For queue projects, search by developer or project name on the same /explore page with the queue tab selected.
  2. Read the asset profile end to end. The detail page is organized as a left rail with 13-19 sections depending on entity type. Scan the rail; click into the section you care about. The page is designed to be read in any order.
  3. Cite or export. Every asset page is a stable canonical URL. The plant ID never changes; the slug is sortable. Use the page URL as a citation source; use the API endpoints (/api/plant/{id} for JSON, /api/plant/{id}/text for Markdown) for programmatic access.

Journey 3 — Request a demo

For the InfraSure platform — the analytical layer above the open data. The platform isn't self-serve today; the entry is a 30-minute walkthrough on your own portfolio.

  1. Hit any "Request a demo" button. They appear in the marketing header, the data-product top bar, on every plant + queue-project page (rail CTA + premium teaser CTAs), and on the landing page. All open the same modal — no scroll, no navigation away from current context.
  2. Tell us about your portfolio. The form is 5 fields, 3 required (name, work email, company) plus role + workflow interest + freeform "what you're evaluating". We respond within one business day.
  3. Get a walkthrough on YOUR assets. The 30-minute call uses one asset from your list — the screening view, the underwriting depth, the mitigation economics. Not a generic demo; one of yours, end to end.
