Cuyama Solar is a proposed 40-megawatt (MW) solar generation project located in San Luis Obispo County, California. The development project is listed in the interconnection queue of the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) under queue ID CAISO-356, within the service territory of Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). The project consists of a single solar component of 40 MW. It is proposed to connect to the grid at the Taft-Cuyama #1 70 kV transmission line.
The project entered the CAISO interconnection queue on April 28, 2008, and remains in active status. It has requested Network Resource Interconnection Service (NRIS). An interconnection agreement was executed on July 31, 2012. The project's study phase is listed as "TC." Its proposed commercial operation date is February 20, 2028, nearly two decades after its initial queue entry.
