The Pinellas County Resource Recovery facility is a 76.5 MW waste-to-energy plant located in Pinellas County, Florida. The plant began operating in 1983 and utilizes municipal solid waste (MSW) as its primary fuel source. It consists of two generators employing MSW technology. The facility is owned by EQT, a company based in Sweden, and operated by Reworld Projects, LLC. It is the second-largest waste-to-energy plant in Florida (out of 9) and the seventh-largest in the United States (out of 56).
